I have a piece of the universe in the shape of a rabbit
It is mine; I have found it, under the pile where it had been left.
And it has chosen me over all that have come before it.
I found a long lost princess, in a tower so high in the sky
With permission, it chose to be mine
And I will protect it, hold it, look out for its cry.
I hold in my hands something more valuable than the Holy Grail
No religion worships it but I follow its word
Worth more than its weight in gold, from its head to its tail
I weep and I whimper, O’ what should I do, what should I say
I feel like this liquid gemstone is slipping from between my fingers
What will I do? Oh what will I do on the day, long in the future, when it goes away?
Go away, my worst fear in this waking world, I shiver at the very thought
That my bunny should take its life away, and leave me here to rot.
